VRNJAČKA BANJA

Vrnjačka Banja is a town and municipality located in central Serbia. Situated in a great park full of trees, it is the most celebrated and most popular spa town in Serbia and, at the same time, a very attractive recreation centre. Its reputation dates back to the Roman times in the second century AD, and it was modernized in 1835 to resemble Karlovy Vary.

In the vicinity of Vrnjačka Banja there are UNESCO–protected medieval landmarks, including the Žiča, Sopoćani and Studenica monasteries, all nestled in the scenic Ibar river valley. With tree–lined paths and mineral springs positioned throughout the park, Vrnjačka Banja is an ideal place for regeneration and relaxation. In the summer, it transforms into one of the greatest cultural centres in Serbia, offering literary evenings, classical concerts and the film screenplay festival.
